Terms of use

Last updated: 30 August 2026

By using Pdfect you agree to what follows. It is short, because a site that never receives your files has little to regulate.

What Pdfect is

Pdfect is a free collection of PDF tools that run in your web browser. There is no account, no subscription, no trial and no paid tier. You may use every tool as often as you like, on as many files as you like, for personal or commercial work, with no attribution required and no watermark applied to your results.

Your files stay yours

We claim no rights over anything you process. Because the tools run on your device and no file is ever uploaded, we could not acquire rights over your documents even if we wanted to — we never receive them. See the privacy policy for the detail.

What you are responsible for

No warranty

Pdfect is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. PDF is a sprawling format and files produced by unusual software can fail in ways no amount of testing anticipates. We do not guarantee that any tool will work with any particular file, that a result will be free of defects, or that the site will be available without interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including damaged or unusable output, lost documents or missed deadlines. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, use it to process unlawful material, or redistribute it as your own service. Beyond that, there is little to police: the tools cost us nothing to run because they run on your machine, so there are no quotas to protect.

Third-party content

Pages on this site carry advertising served by third parties, and the guides link to external sites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. See thecookie policy for what advertising may store on your device.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above tracks the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
